Below is the fantastic wedding of Lynn and Michael. They got married at the beautiful Safety Harbor Resort and Spa. Their wedding had so many beautiful touches and details. We loved the fall color scheme and the fantastic wedding cake that they commissioned for their wedding day. We noticed how much they liked the color orange and when it came time to do some of the ring shots, we went to the resort restaurant and got them to cut a fresh orange in half for us and photographed the rings on them.

This is the beautiful wedding at the Tradewinds Resort on St. Pete Beach that we photographed recently. The day couldn’t have been more perfect for an outdoor wedding. The temperatures were in the low 80’s with no humidity, the sky was a gorgeous blue and the beach location was a perfect complement to the day. We had so much fun with the bride and groom at their engagement session, that we had been looking forward to their wedding day, which we knew was going to be a blast. They did not disappoint!! They are so much fun to be around and they really put a lot of thought into how they put together everything for their special day. Everyone that attended the wedding had a fantastic time. The entire day was a lot of fun and here are the pictures to prove it!

The following are some of our favorite images from the wedding we photographed on September 24th at the Don Vicente de Ybor Historic Inn. We were super excited prior to the wedding because the bride and groom shared our love of photography and had allocated extra time for some outdoor pictures. On the morning of the wedding, the forecast was for 50% chance of rain. Since it had rained a lot the day before, we were really worried that we might not be able to photograph at all of the great locations that we had found while scouting for this wedding. When we arrived in Ybor several hours before (we always like to arrive very early) we started to see dark clouds starting to form. We said some prayers and were incredibly grateful when the clouds dissipated and allowed us to photograph everywhere we had planned. As experienced Tampa wedding photographers, we always scout and prepare in advance for each and every wedding. This always allows us to come up with great image ideas that will fit into the time allocated for us to capture our art. As you will see, the Don Vicente and the surrounding area in Ybor City, offer some amazing backgrounds. We love to photograph in Ybor and especially at the Don Vicente, where the staff is incredibly accommodating.

Sneak peek of the beautiful wedding we photographed at the gorgeous Don Vicente de Ybor Historic Inn. We absolutely love to photograph at this hotel. This couple was amazing, allowing us to photograph their formals for much longer than the average wedding. As professional Tampa wedding photographers, we love it when couples value their photography so much and allocate extra time for us to focus on getting them some really beautiful images. Meant to write about our trip a long time ago, but we have been so busy that we are just now getting around to it! Back in June we photographed a very beautiful destination wedding in Bogota, Colombia. Being that we had been incredibly busy during the first half of the year, we decided that since we were traveling that far, that we would extend our stay and make a mini vacation out of the trip. Colombia is an incredibly beautiful country with many regions that exhibit their own unique climate and terrain characteristics. To the north is Cartagena which is located on the Caribbean. To the west, Colombia has a long coastline on the Pacific Ocean. Colombia also has deserts, jungles, snow covered volcanos, and a coffee growing region that makes some of the best tasting coffee in the world.
For this trip, we stayed in Bogota which is the capital. It is located at 8600 feet above sea level. It is cool in the mornings and evenings, but has very comfortable day time temperatures. We absolutely loved our time in Bogota and visited many great museums. One of our favorite museums was the Botero Museum which housed many of his masterpiece paintings and sculptures. One of our favorite parts of the city was Monserrate, which is located on top of a mountainside overlooking all of Bogota. You reach it by riding a cable car or train to reach the top. From there you can see the entire city and surrounding countryside and mountain region. The views are absolutely AMAZING!! Another “must see” is the old city center and the area surrounding the presidential palace. The architecture is spectacular, which many of the houses dating back to pre-colonial times. You can just imagine life must have been like back in the 1600’s and 1700’s. As experienced Tampa wedding photographers, we are used to photographing many destination weddings. Flying to Colombia to photograph one was an incredible experience. We definitely look forward to getting to photograph many more destination weddings there or anywhere else in the world. We love photography and traveling the world. The following images are from a beautiful wedding we photographed recently. The ceremony took place at the Wireman Chapel, located in St. Petersburg, Florida. The reception took place at a beautiful reception hall at Eckerd College. The location was beautiful with the Chapel being surrounded by gorgeous lakes on both sides. As we left the ceremony, we were worried that it was about to rain. The clouds looked threatening and it looked like a major downpour was about to happen. Luckily, it didn’t and instead of rain we were treated to an absolutely gorgeous rainbow which made for some very unique and lovely images.
The bride and groom had lots of family in attendance, many of them visiting from as far away as Venezuela. It was so nice to see everyone enjoying this special day. The dance floor was packed all night long, and everyone really enjoyed the music and entertainment provided by DJ Felix. As you can see, it was a beautiful wedding and everyone had a great time!
