Jamie and Eva | Hammock Beach Resort wedding | Palm Coast wedding photographer

The following are some of our favorite images from the wedding of Eva and Jamie. We met Eva and Jamie several months ago and instantly connected with them. I particularly loved how much I had in common with Eva: same first name, a shared love of dogs, and we were both from Europe!! Meeting with Eva and Jamie was such a pleasant experience. They are so warm and personable and we felt an instant connection with them when we first met them. We talked a ton about how they met, their wedding plans and many other things. After meeting with them, we knew that we really wanted to photograph their wedding and capture how much they loved each other.

As Jacksonville wedding photographers, we were so excited to photograph this wedding. The morning of the wedding, we woke up and saw that the forecast called for a 60%+ chance of rain! We prepared our equipment and made plans for how we would photograph if it did rain. We always like to be prepared for anything. As we arrived at the resort, the skies looked like rain was imminent. The resort staff had prepared an indoor area for a ceremony, just in case. Luckily the rain didn’t come, and the outdoor ceremony proceeded as scheduled. Better still, during the ceremony the dark clouds parted and the sun came out for good. What a great sign for Jamie and Eva! After the ceremony, we headed over to the beautiful golf course that runs parallel to the Atlantic Ocean. We got some great shots there and overlooking the beach. We also took advantage of the many beautiful areas within the resort before heading back to the yacht for the reception. The whole day was a lot of fun and we were really sad at the end of the night when we had to leave. We look forward to seeing them again whenever we go back to the Hammock Beach Resort to photograph many future weddings!

Florida destination wedding – Palm Coast wedding photographer – www.evaphotostudio.com

We love destination weddings. Being in Florida we get our fair share of them. People love to come down to our beautiful state and have their wedding here. They then either continue their honeymoon here or use Florida as a launching pad to their honeymoon. We recently photographed a beautiful destination wedding for Joanna and Michael. They live in Memphis, Tennessee but drove down to Florida to have their wedding in the gorgeous Palm Coast area. The wedding was held in the scenic Washington Oaks Gardens State Park. The park is absolutely gorgeous and provided us with many incredible photo locations. There were bridges that spanned many little canals and small lakes. There were many tree covered foot paths, and beautiful garden areas. There was a rose garden with a wide variety of fragrant and colorful roses. Just past the rose garden, there were some fantastic views of the waterfront and an old home from the early 20th century. Joanna and Michael were blessed with some gorgeous Florida weather too. July in Florida can be sweltering but on this day, the temperatures were in the mid to low 80’s and the humidity levels were very low. It really felt like a nice autumn day instead of the middle of summer.

To complement the romantic natural setting, the couple had hired a harpist who played some very beautiful music for them to get married to and later to help entertain at their reception. After the ceremony and the formals, we drove a little less than 5 minutes to the beautiful Hammock Beach mansion that the family had rented for the reception and the rest of their Florida stay. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food and drinks that were served and the lovely music that the harpist played during the reception. The entire day and evening was magical and we are so happy to have shared it with this great couple. We wish Joanna and Michael a lifetime of married bliss!
